Instructional Design Document (IDD)

Course Type

Finger touching virtual screen with many nations flags.

This  "Train the Trainer" course in language learning thru immersion, is a program designed to equip new and experienced language teachers (our learners) with the skills and knowledge necessary to become effective trainers themselves, allowing them to then teach other language teachers how to improve their instructional methods and deliver language courses to students.

This minicourse will be based as an Informational course with integrated "How-to" components to incorporate practical skills for the learners to learn so that they may share with their students. Because this is a "train the trainer" course, it is essential that the learners not only receive information but participate actively in using the material learned.

Definition of Terms

Instructor - the person teaching the minicourse

Learners - the language educators taking the course

Students - those being taught by the learners
